Hello, my name is Melissa and I am a family friend of the Austin’s and am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of them.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of our dear friend, Alex who suffered a devastating stroke at the very young age of 39. His loss was unexpected and has left a profound hole in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.

Alex was a devoted, loving dad to his six-year-old son, Nathan, who has now lost both of his parents — his mom passed away just a few years ago. No child should have to face the world without their parents so young, and our hearts ache for him.

This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, outstanding medical and household bills, and ongoing support to help care for and raise Nathan, ensuring he has stability, love, and the resources he needs as he grows.

Alex was kind, generous, and always showed up for the people he cared about. If you knew him, you knew how deeply he loved his son. Any donation, no matter the size, will help honor his memory by supporting the person he loved most.
