Alex and his family need help as he fights to live
Alex was senselessly attacked on
June 6/20 by 5 individuals in the middle of the afternoon while rollerblading in
Ottawa east end, Vanier. He now
remains in a coma.
Alex it’s a small framed 17 year old boy
(he literally might be 100lbs wet) he is
your typical teenager who’s not always
perfect but he’s got a huge heart and he’s a good natured kid who loves his family
and his baby sister. Alex had no chance
to defend himself against his attackers
and was beaten unconscious in a
cowardly attack, he was attacked by 4
youth boys and a female youth all around the age of 17, they kicked and stomped
him repeatedly in the head and
throughout his entire body with no
regard for his life and no reason for the
attack!
Alex remains in a coma with life
threatening injuries, his outcome is
still unknown, he is fighting hard day by
day but has remained unconscious, he is
in severe pain and the medical team are
keeping Alex heavily medicated with
pain meds because his blood pressure
spikes severely when his body is not
receiving enough pain relief. He remains on a ventilator to assist with his
breathing because he is unable to
breathe on his own, his condition
remains critical and his outcome is
unknown. He has an EEG (metal disks)
attached to his skull to monitor his brain activity at all times. Only 1 parent can
stay by his side at a time due to
Covid-19, they have no shoulder to lean on, they must stand there alone one at a
time watching their beloved son fight for his life as a result of a completely
senseless attack on this young man’s life!
His family is asking for the community of Ottawa to come together and help with
donations as Alex will be at CHEO for a
long time (god willing) and most likely
months of rehab. Financially this will be
crippling to the family as his mother is
the sole financial earner currently of the family.
Please help this family through their
hardships, this could be any one of our
children, please pray for Alex and donate to his fundraiser...this family needs our
help Ottawa and this child did not
deserve to have his life almost taken
away by 5 senseless kids who attacked
him like a bunch of cowards.
