Alex and Alexis - NHSA Family

We have always said that everyone working at the CH2M / Jacobs / North Hudson Sewerage Authority project is a family.  We spend long hours working with each other every week; and we work, celebrate, laugh, eat, and live like a family.  A tragic event struck our family early on Sunday morning, May 5th.  Alex and Alexis were having a birthday party for Alexis’ Mother at their home.  A man with a gun and unknown motives showed up and opened fire through their door and windows.  Alex was shot in the stomach, and Alexis in her side.  Both are doing ok now; Alexis was discharged from the hospital, and after a few surgeries Alex is now in recovery.  Sadly, one of Alex’s good friends was also shot and did not make it.

Alexis has been with CH2M/Jacobs for 17 years working as an Admin and directly responsible for keeping the project running.  Alex joined the Collections Team three years ago and has been a great addition to a great team, always working hard and solving problems.  Their son Alex also recently joined the collections team.  They are truly a Jacobs family, and everyone they come in contact with instantly falls in love with their spirt, optimism, and laughter.  Something like this terrible event should never happen to such good people.

A lot of people have asked what they can do to help the family that has given so much to all of us.  This GoFundMe site has been set up to assist with expenses related to this event.  We are looking to replace the door and windows on the front of their home that were damaged with bullets.  Any additional funds raised will go toward covering their medial expenses.  It is just a small way that we can all show how much this family means to all of us.
