Alese's Care Fund

On Wednesday, January 25, our beloved, bright, beautiful Alese was in a terrible car accident when she was hit on the driver’s side making a left turn. She was taken to the hospital via LifeFlight and has been fighting her way back to us since then.

She’s made great progress since coming to the hospital, but as with all situations like this, it’s mostly waiting for more data to see what her recovery trajectory will be. We’re hopeful, and we’ll be here for whatever she needs.

Her family has been by her bedside and she’s had a few friends able to visit. We’re making sure she knows she is loved and that we’re all here cheering for her.

Anyone who has met Alese even briefly has been lucky enough to experience the light of her kindness. We, not at all facetiously, call her the FFL Ship Empath. Alese is the first in tune with the feelings of those around her. She is always ready with a hug, a word of encouragement or her signature smile. Now is our chance to reflect back the fierce love she shows us every single day. She is swimming up through murky depths right now. Let's make sure she feels us here wanting her back, pulling her to us.

When this happened last Wednesday, we hoped it would be a sprint. What we know is that recovery will be more of a marathon. There are things we can do—one of them is make sure that the expenses of this event don’t wipe out Alese’s young family.

The outpouring of support for her has been incredible. We know that there will be no shortage of ways we can help in the coming weeks. If you’d like, we’d appreciate your helping us to ensure Alese has a financial safety net when she’s ready for it; there are so many unknowns, but this is one thing we can do for her now.
