Alena and Chris

My brother Chris and his beautiful wife Alena were married this year on April 14th. Little did they know, less than 6 months later, Alena would be diagnosed with breast cancer. While her prognosis is good, Alena and Chris are currently fighting a battle that neither of them expected to be in. If you are able to help in any way, either through lifting them up in your prayers or financial contribution, our family would very much appreciate it! Every little bit helps at a time like this.
Since her diagnosis in mid-October, Alena has had to go through one major surgery, extensive testing, and countless doctor visits. She is set to have at least two more surgeries in the next 6 months along with having to go through multiple rounds of chemotherapy. In the middle of all of this, given the type of cancer she has and the medicine she will need to be on for the next several years, her doctor recommended she undergo fertility treatment in order to preserve her eggs prior to chemotherapy and future medications.
Needless to say, it's been a lot for Alena and Chris. In addition to the reality of her diagnosis, they are also having to battle with insurance to get procedures and treatment covered, and, when insurance has refused at various times, those medical treatments have to be put on a credit card, hoping for reimbursement. Given the fact she hasn't been able to work as a PA due to the rapidness of her treatment schedule & recovery, along with the commuting back and forth to UCLA for treatment and appointments, it's created a financial strain. Any funds received would be going towards helping pay Alena's medical bills and the gap created by her inability to work at this particular period of time.
Thank you so much for your prayers! Our family appreciates it!
