I'm reaching out to you urgently because my friend Aleksander Chulkov is in a tough situation. He's in a hospital in Laos, far from home, and facing unexpected health problems.

While traveling from Thailand to Laos, Aleksander started feeling really unwell. He had chest pain and numbness in his limbs. About a month before this, he had recovered from a respiratory infection, but he didn't think much of these new symptoms, assuming they were leftovers from the previous illness.

Now, the doctors have diagnosed him with multiple serious conditions, including transverse myelitis, severe pneumonia, tuberculosis, and acute kidney injury. Aleksander's sister is in touch with the hospital and the Russian consulate, but the family doesn't have enough money to cover the costs of his medical treatment and the rehabilitation he'll need.

We're really hoping and asking for Aleksander to get better soon and fully recover.
