Hello, my name is Malissa Perez, I am fundraising for the Williams family.

My sister, Victoria Williams and my brother in law, Harold Williams story begins 25 weeks ago when they found out they were expecting their 6th child (4 surviving and 1 miscarriage). They were extremely excited for their growing family. They were waiting to announce their addition until they were further along and were even keeping the gender of the baby a secret from close family who knew they were expecting.
Their announcement never happened because their world changed on March 29, 2024 when they were 20 weeks pregnant. They received news at their ultrasound appointment that no parent ever wants to receive. Their baby girl had a condition that was affecting her development specifically her heart and brain. Tests were done but they would need to wait a few days until the baby's condition could be diagnosed. Those few days of waiting for the results seemed like an eternity. Tests confirmed she had a condition called Trisomy 18. It was their worst fears. They saw a couple specialists to confirm the results were correct and get as much information as possible to make sure they were doing all they could for their baby and making sure Victoria was not in any danger. Their world was being turned upside down. They were told their baby girl would either be stillbirth, stillborn or not live very long after a full term labor. There were many people praying for them, there were prayer chains created for them across the country and they felt all the prayers for the next 5 weeks.
On April 27, 2024, Alejandra's kicks were not being felt and Victoria and Harold could not get a heartbeat at home so they went to the hospital the next day and the doctors confirmed their baby girls heart had stopped. They were told this could happen but nothing can prepare a heart for the emptiness of loosing a child. Their only peace was knowing that their baby girl died safe and warm in mommy's belly and she was in heaven with loved ones who have passed and in the arms of Jesus. Alejandra Victoria Williams was born still, perfect and beautiful on Monday April 29, 2024 at 11:27 a.m. Over the next two days Alejandra's brothers, sisters, mommy, daddy, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were able to love on her and say their goodbyes.
