Aleisha's dental disaster

Aleisha Prather is a hard working, dedicated, bright spirited and passionate girl. She never hesitates to be there for others at the drop of a hat. Aleisha is the kind of person that surrounds others with her inspirational energy and always has a strong sense of community and compassion in everything she does. She has dedicated her life to creating art, bringing people happiness through her expression and being a team player. Aleisha doesn’t often get discouraged by the bumps in the road. She is a very adaptable person and knows how to get things done while she is also very independent. When it comes to her needing help, she usually takes on all of that herself. We are here to be her voice now in her time of need.

Aleisha is dealing with a very costly dental emergency, and now more than ever she needs help. We are asking everyone who is willing to lend a hand and help get her beautiful smile back. This is one thing she can’t fix on her own, although there isn't much she can’t fix!

Through extensive research and endless quotes and phone calls, she will need to have numerous procedures done including but not limited to:

Multiple extractions, root canals, bone grafting, braces, and multiple implants.

All of this will require her to pay $16,000 out of pocket.

We know this is a large sum of money that might take some time to acquire. That being said, anything helps! Even if it's smaller contributions over the course of time, we will still be getting closer. While Aleisha keeps working hard and saving towards these procedures, we will continue to regularly share this post over time in hopes to reach her goal and at some point feel like this can become a reality for her.

Aleisha has been working and pushing herself overtime as a self-employed artist fabricator and all around handywoman. Being a visual artist takes time and diligence to build yourself up and requires many hours. This medical setback also really affects her career as much as her day to day life and health/well being. It’s really hard to push your career forward and yield positive results when you have a large financial burden looming over your head. It unfortunately can at times take the wind from beneath her wings while she is emerging on a phase in her career that is taking her to the next level. Imagine working so hard for something you love, but not being able to enjoy the rewards of it because a large portion of everything you earn ends up getting eaten by a costly medical procedure. Also imagine having something so important as your smile be something so out of reach. So many of us struggle to have access to reasonable healthcare and it is unfair that there isn’t another option out there for her.
