On the 15th and 16th August, my friend Carl and I will be playing 31 hours of pool to raise money for Cancer Research UK. We completed this challenge last year for Cancer Research UK and are keen to complete the challenge again.

For those wondering why the event is 31 hours, a few years ago myself and a friend played against each other for 31 hours to raise money for Cancer Research UK after our good friend Carl had found out he had the disease. We chose 31 hours as this was Carl’s age at the time and the event was a great success.

There will be 31, 1-hour time slots against both Carl and Aled, each timeslot will be £10 to play, and there will be a £20 prize for the challenger with the most 7-ballers in their allotted timeslot.

The marathon will begin at 10am on Friday the 15th August and will run until the final 1-hour slot ends at 5pm on Saturday the 16th August.
