Alec has muscle dystrophy, which is part of a group of diseases that cause progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass. Over time, muscle weakness decreases mobility, making everyday tasks difficult. Alec’s condition has made it increasingly challenging for him to stand on his own and walk around. As such, Alec and his family have looked for a solution and decided that the best option right now is to purchase a standing wheelchair.
