Alecia (Lisa) Loraine Madison Hairston

My Sister was a lady who was full of life, independent, strong willed, a loving church member and ready to take on the world. Lisa would also help other with what she had, even when she didn't have enough for herself. The picture is from a happier time in her life before dialysis began breaking down her body, before her accident that broke both legs and wrist, before she began showing signs of dementia.

Lisa passed away on Tuesday 11/7/23. With rods in her legs from from her accident a few years ago, Lisa walked 7 blocks to the emergency room after her dialysis, where they admitted her. They took her to surgery to replace her aortic heart valve. Lisa did wake up from the surgery, was breathing on her own but then suffered a stroke. Doctors were not able to revive her.
