Alec needs surgery

Hey everyone. I'm Madeline Boliver (Maddie), Alec's little sister. A couple weeks ago Alec had an accident and broke his elbow, and has just found out that he needs emergency surgery for this injury. He has been going through financial hardship for a while now, trying to make ends meet on low income and scraping by with things like rent, utilities, food and transportation. Now with the surgery coming up on Monday, eviction is a very real possibility and his reduced income will all need to go toward medical expenses. He does not have insurance and work will be significantly reduced, so the costs are going to be debilitating.

Alec is such a good man, always trying to do the right thing and working hard. He is just going through a tough time right now with everything stacking up against him. We are looking into community resources such as rental assistance, eviction help, food assistance and temporary disability. These programs are super flooded with applications right now so although he will apply for everything out there, I am worried it won't be enough. As his sister, I wish I could help him through this myself, but the road ahead is going to be very difficult and his family isn't able to help alone.

I thought I could put this out there and see if family and friends have anything to spare so he might be able to get through this rough patch with the help of those who care about him.

If you are able, sending a donation will go toward his medical bills or rent. Food and other expenses are going to be a little easier to apply for through community food banks etc. so all donations will be allocated to his main concerns which are: avoiding eviction and getting this surgery. All donations will go through me with Alec as beneficiary and I will be helping to make sure funds are used for these concerns.
