Hi everyone!
I am asking for some help to buy a vehicle to achieve my dreams. My car died on me over a month ago and I have just found the perfect car to get me through my BA and Masters degree, but I need your help!
My story:
When I was 21 years old I got an amazing opportunity to be a Culinary Arts teacher at Aptos Jr. High. I was terrified that I wasn’t qualified or that I wasn’t going to do well. But I just said “yes” and figured the rest out. It was really challenging at first, but after my first semester I started gaining confidence and realized that I am a good teacher! It has been two years now and I genuinely feel so much joy every day I step into my classroom. I get to create food with my students. I get to teach them to be more confident in the kitchen. It has been one of the hardest things I have ever done and it has had the most profound effect on me. Because of this experience, I have decided that once I get my BA in Environmental Studies and Food Culture, I want to get my Master’s degree in Teaching.
The one thing that I need to get me to my goals is a reliable car. I work three different jobs as well as go to school, so I need to be in a lot of different places throughout my day. I have had some pretty crappy and unreliable cars. Cars have left me on the side of the freeway more times than I can count; cars that, every time I get into them, I wonder, “Is today going to be the day that it dies?” After searching long and hard for a car that will fit my lifestyle, I have found the perfect one! It is just a little out of my reach…If you can donate anything, it will help me get one step closer to achieving my dreams!
