These are uncomfortably uncertain times for many and our thoughts go to everyone being affected by this crisis. Circumstances continue changing rapidly and we are incredibly fortunate that our team is still able to search for ways in which we can adapt. For eleven years, we've taken pride in sticking to our roots by providing fresh, unique, and affordable beer for you all.
It's been an honor to create a safe space in our beautiful community. We have also had the privilege to work alongside truly amazing organizations that put Oakland's well-being above all. There will never be enough words to thank you for over a decade of support. Now, more than ever, we need a helping hand from our community.
Where We Stand
With the shutdown of our taproom until at least April 7th, we are set to have a big cash crunch. This is not something we can't overcome, but it will certainly be a challenge. Our production team is still hard at work brewing fresh beer and we are looking for ways to make it available. We are set to package more beer than we normally would as we are expecting very few draft sales.
How You Can Help
It'll be some time before April 7th and making Ale Industries your beer of choice during the Shelter in Place helps us tremendously. We've set up a handful of avenues to make the process a breeze.
Donate to this GoFundMe!
See contribution levels below. Every dollar contributed will be returned to you via an Ale Industries gift card!
Curbside Pickup at Ale Industries
In accordance with the Shelter in Place mandate and ABC laws, we are allowed to sell packaged beer to go. Unfortunately, folks may not enter the taproom and social distance must be practiced.
A table will be set up by our door on E10th Street with our current offerings.
We have growlers available for sale and will be happy to fill them
We will only fill from-home growlers so long as we are allowed to dip them in a bucket of sanitizer for a minimum of one minute.
You can call ahead to place an order (510) [phone redacted]. We are working on setting up a way to order ahead online by the end of this week.
Consider buying merch or a gift card!
Ale Industries curbside will be operating from 12-7PM as E10th Street will be well lit during this time window. We would love to see your faces (from a safe distance) and the immediate cash provides us with a bit of relief during this crunch.
Same day delivery or UPS shipping through Bevv
If leaving home isn't an option, we have partnered with Bevv to provide same day delivery within Oakland as well as UPS shipping to CA, WA, AK, and FL. It's easy and similar to your preferred food delivery service.
Visit aleindustries.bevv.com and check out our list of available items.
Once an order is placed a driver will come to our curbside for pick-up.
You will receive a confirmation once your driver arrives.
Please consider tipping your driver!
Shipping outside of Oakland will take 2 - 3 business days to package and ship.
Shop Ale Industries While Stocking Up
It is recommended not to leave home other than stocking up for essential groceries. If you find yourself needing to restock, you can find multiple Ale Industries products in select Costco, Whole Foods, Safeway, and Trader Joe's locations. Reach out if you have any questions about the select locations.
Donate to our GoFundMe
For every contribution, you will receive towards an Ale Industries gift card that you can use at our curbside, the taproom, and our event space (once we are able to operate the latter two).
**Gift card for the same amount to be used in our taproom
**You will recieve a $50 gift card
**Your name will appear on the label of a 16oz can release once we are fully operational. You will be cast a vote to choose the name, style, and ABV of this beer during a unique taproom event.
If you donate $100 you'll get the same perks for the can release in addition to your name being added on a plaque to be proudly displayed in our taproom forever. You will be cast a vote to name this plaque during a unique taproom event.
If you donate $500+, you'll get the same perks for the can and the plaque in addition to actually collaborating on the beer with the team come brew day. We will take measures to make sure it's a convenient, safe, healthy, and fun learning experience. There will also be a special area of recognition with your name on the plaque we will display in our taproom.
Notes about this gofundme:
This gofundme is being run on part-owner Casey Cobb's gofundme account. Proceeds from this gofundme will go 100% to the operating costs of running our Oakland, CA brewery and taproom through the COVID19 crisis.
We take each day at a time and keep moving forward. We'll announce a couple of collaboration projects with members of our community during the Shelter in Place in the coming days. Stay tuned! We will continue to take all necessary safety precautions and closely monitor the health of our team.
Please remain home, stay safe, and remember that we are all globally in this together. You are not alone and there will be an end to this. We will continue to follow our passion to brew for our community as long as we can and we are not done yet! Thank you so much for your time.
