Hello, I am Aldo Amenta.
November 7, 2015 started off as any normal day, but for me this was the day that changed the course of my life forever. I jumped into a shallow pool and fractured my neck, causing a C5 spinal cord injury leaving me a quadriplegic.
The past four years have been very trying for my family and I, however, we have kept fighting everyday for my recovery towards independence with optimism and gratitude.
I have seen an immense improvement in my overall health and well-being since changing my diet, and having intense physical therapy for the last few years. At this time in my life, the next steps of recovery toward independence is going to involve Stem Cell treatments that repair spinal cord tissue damage.
Being able to accomplish this treatment will be a blessing and life-changer for me and those involved . This treatment will help me gain more independence and accomplish my dream and goal: to walk again.
I am extremely humbled and grateful for all of the donations and words of encouragement over the last few years, it means the world to me

El 7 de noviembre de 2015 comenzó como cualquier día normal, pero para mí este fue el día que cambió el curso de mi vida para siempre. Salté a una piscina poco profunda y me fracturé el cuello, causando una lesión en la médula espinal C5 que me dejó tetrapléjico.
Los últimos cuatro años han sido muy difíciles para mi familia y para mí, sin embargo, hemos seguido luchando todos los días por mi recuperación y recuperar mi independencia con optimismo y gratitud.
He visto una mejora inmensa en mi salud y bienestar en general desde que cambié mi dieta y con terapia física intensa durante los últimos años. En este momento de mi vida, los próximos pasos de recuperación hacia obtener independencia implicarán tratamientos con células madre que reparan el daño del tejido de la médula espinal.
Ser capaz de lograr este tratamiento será una bendición y un cambio de vida para mí y para los que me rodean. Este tratamiento me ayudará a ganar más independencia y lograr mi sueño y objetivo: caminar de nuevo.
