Support Aldbourne Royals – Help Us Secure Our Future

Aldbourne Royals launched in the Summer of 2024 as a group of local lads determined to bring competitive football back to our village. What began as a few training sessions and friendlies quickly reignited a real passion for football in Aldbourne.

We registered with the FA and are now proudly competing in our second season in the Newbury Sunday League.

Today, we have over 30 signed players, more than two-thirds proudly from the village, and a committed manager in Charlie Ward. Behind the scenes, the club is run by a dedicated volunteer committee chaired by Simon Crisp.

However, we are now facing a serious and urgent challenge.

To continue competing in the league, we must provide proper changing facilities that meet league requirements. Without suitable changing rooms, we risk being removed from the league altogether.

This is not simply an upgrade – it is essential for the survival of the club.

Even at Sunday League level, running a football club comes with significant costs including league and FA fees, match officials, pitch maintenance, equipment, and storage. The addition of changing facilities is beyond what match fees alone can cover.

Our goal is simple: to rebuild football in Aldbourne and create a club the entire village can be proud of for years to come.

We want to provide proper facilities for players and visiting teams, create opportunities for future generations, grow sustainably, and strengthen community spirit.
