Al's Bypass Surgery/ Med. Expenses

Al recently had a massive heart attack. He was having symptoms for 2 days and finally at 1:00am on a Saturday morning he realized his symptoms were life threatening and went to the emergency room. Being the religious man he is, Al prayed to the Lord for a happy death and then asked the Lord to spare his life. Once in the ER the doctor told him he was having a heart attack and had to be flown by helicopter to Morristown Hospital for immediate help. Al was immediately put in the helicopter and airlifted to Morristown Hospital. From the helicopter he went straight into surgery and had a stent put in his heart to keep him alive. His family rushed to his side in great concern. Al is doing well now but he needs to have double bypass surgery to keep him alive. His main heart chambers and arteries are 100% clogged.  This double bypass surgery is due to take place in mid-January. The doctors want his heart to heal from the heart attack and the stent. The surgeon came in to see Al while he was in the hospital and told him that he dodged a bullet and came close to death. The doctor that night who put the stent in his heart saved his life.

As his family we are all very grateful to the doctor and team of nurses who helped saved Al. He is the heart of our family and we all love him very much. We are reaching out to our friends and family in this time of need. The bypass surgery and other medical expenses such as doctor visits, medicine, physical therapy and other pre and post op expenses come to an estimate of about $20,000.00 out of pocket that the insurance will not cover. Al is the sole supporter for his family.  Unfortunately his wife is unable to work due to an auto immune disease among other medical difficulties. The doctors also wants Al to go on disability before and after his double bypass surgery. Going on disability will cause Al to only receive a portion of his pay. Al also was laid off for about 2 years and recently started working full time. In those 2 years Al supported his family by living off of his retirement fund which is now completely depleted.

As a family who loves Al with all their heart and soul, we ask you to help him receive the surgery and care he needs. Al does so much not only for his family but for many others. He is a great husband, father, brother, son, deacon, friend, mentor and much more. There is no words to express how much he does for this world and how much more he has left to do. God spared his life because his work on this earth is not yet done. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers and generosity.
