Debut Album - Elodie Perroud

I’ve often heard musicians refer to their album creation process as a birthing experience.

I am on this parenting journey and I finally get it.

Like many others Covid confinement offered unprecedented time to sit and be within my soul. From that soul exploration came a faint trace of a seed, in all the right conditions, to start the process of germination, and as this seed went from translucent to solid, so did my undeniable awareness of its presence, care to tend to it, need to make emotional space, and requirement of shared time.

As this creation continues to grow it is demanding more time, energy and supportive figures. I have arrived to a point in creation where I am reaching out ready for community support.

Support comes in many ways. I welcome support of solidarity in the form of your time, attention, and encouragement. I welcome support in the form of information shared, connections made. I welcome support in the form of materials and space offered for rehearsals, fundraisers, sound material and instruments for traveling musicians joining me.

And in conjunction to all this, I am openly sending an invitation to financially feed the creation of this soul child. A child that comes into the world as sound, sound that plays with and touches matter. Matter that we are made of. Matter that reminds us of the beauty and wisdom of the earth, the strength, integrity and radiant presence that lives inside each one of us.

As I walk this path, I see this process opening as two folds.

This is the first fold; to create, grow and tend to this sound child.

Fold two is recording, mastering and sharing the sound child.
