Albino Lujan (Black Hill) stroke recovery!
Donation protected
On behalf of our father Albino Lujan (Black Hill) and our family, we are seeking support to help us financially during this unexpected health emergency.
Our father suffered a stroke on 12/28/2023. He was flown down to UNMH ICU and has been there since. As a result of the stroke, he has partial paralysis on his left arm and left leg as well as his inability to swallow foods or liquids. Therefore, as of this date, we are awaiting a procedure to assist him with nutrition which will lead to stabilization before he is sent to an inpatient rehab, out of our hometown of Taos Pueblo. We are expecting this to be in a couple of weeks.
In the interim our family has been traveling to Albuquerque to make sure we are there to ensure he receives the care he needs. While we always try to do for ourselves and have received help from immediate and extended family, we anticipate these expenses to continue till he returns home. At which time, we will begin the process of assessing any home modifications, medical equipment which our father may need to assist him with recovery and mobility. So, any consideration you may provide will assist in these efforts.
In closing, we share that he is in good spirits and very willing and anxious to start the therapy he needs. We also are grateful for those of you, who have been praying for our father. Again, thank you for your consideration in donating and sharing his GoFundMe.
