To all my friends, co-workers, well-wishers, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, I wish to share with you briefly the agonizing health conditions that are rapidly accruing out of pocket medical bills beyond my ability to settle without your help.
In January this year, I was prescribed medications to treat inflamed sinuses, musculoskeletal pain and migraine which interacted severely with the medication Flecainide that I’ve been taking daily for my Heart condition. I was admitted at Spectrum Blodgett for 5 days in delirium condition and was successfully detoxed. Numerous CT scans, MRIs and lab tests were done resulting into high copays, majority of which are still outstanding. I was discharged on Jan 21st, 2015 with many referrals for ongoing specialized outpatient treatments that are also very expensive.
In April 2015, my vision deteriorated due to advanced glaucoma for which I underwent Laser Trabeculoplasty procedures in both my eyes. To maintain anticipated eye pressure, I apply 3 very expensive eye drops daily. Two manufacturers have provided me with discount Cards for these eye drops, which helps, but their cost is still prohibitive.
On June 19th, 2015, I fell at work and broke my tailbone, shocked my spine and laterally impacted my hips. My productivity has reduced hence too low income to keep up with payment plans with old and new medical creditors. Work-comp is paying bills for work injury which I do appreciate.
In the last one year, I have been to the ER with cardio distress conditions incurring high outstanding Ambulance transportation and ER copays.
Recently, my Ophthalmologist revealed her concern that blindness is becoming inevitable. She would like to perform invasive surgeries in both eyes without guaranteeing successful outcome this month.
My insurance refused to settle all therapists’ sessions attended in August and September allegedly because I exceeded the 60 allowed sessions in the fiscal year ending Sep 30th, 2015.
I took a loan from my 403B to pay some creditors that hired debt collectors. A lot more debt collectors are pursuing me justly disrupting focus on my health recovery.
My current debt is $15,000.00 and growing. All medical bills are available upon request to anyone who is willing to take one and pay directly to the creditors.
I trust that you will extend compassion to me with any affordable help. Please let your friends, coworkers, relatives, your Churches, Mosques and faith based institutions know my predicament and extend help and prayers.
Thank you for taking your precious time to read my story. Your consideration to help me is very much appreciated!
Yours Truly,
Albert Aswani Majani.
