Albert Kim's Back In Business

Donation protected
Our trusty friend and dear community member Albert Kim was in a mountain biking accident on Tuesday, July 9th. He fractured two vertebrae, his T12 and L1. He was taken to the Telluride Med Center and subsequently taken to St. Mary's in Grand Junction early the next morning.

While he was being prepared for spinal surgery, St. Mary's had an unaccountable imaging equipment failure and decided to send Albert on an emergency flight to the Front Range.

As of today, however, his insurance denied coverage for that flight and he had to stay in Grand Junction.

As I write this, St. Mary's is expediting a technician to fix their equipment. If all goes well, Albert could have surgery in Grand Junction by sometime on 7/12...but the fact remains:

Albert is stuck with a broken back. And he needs our help.

Albert is super grateful for the ways everyone has been supportive of him so far and is feeling the love! He said very specifically that he doesn't want anyone to break their piggy bank for him. But at the very least, Albert is looking at a $7000 bill before his insurance kicks in, plus at least one missed paycheck. Thank you for sending love and support towards Albert during this wild ride. Please consider kickin in some cash as well, and THANK YOU for your part in getting Albert's back in business!
