Funeral Costs for Albertine Prince

update: I am so sad to announce that Albertine past away today.  I am asking for any donations to help towards the funeral for this amazingMother, Grandmother, Sister and aunt.  Unfortunately Albertine did not have a life insurance policy.  So if we can assist the family with the cost of the funeral it would be beyond appreciated.

Hello Friends, 

It is with a heavy heart I pass on this news.
Albertine has been diagnosed with undifferentiated Endometrial carcinoma. It is a very aggressive cancer of the uterus. The cancer has spread to the abdomen and pelvis. There are NO available treatments for Albertine. Doctors say there will be no cure for this cancer aside from Divine intervention. The medical team will maintain a level of treatment that can provide comfort. Her doctors have decided it would be best for Alb to return home to palliative care where she can be closer to her family and friends.

Albertine is a lifelong resident of Joussard. She is a mother, grandmother, wife, sister, auntie, caregiver, coworker and friend. She is the sole financial support for her household. As we know, a diagnosis of cancer often stops us in our tracks. But it doesn’t stop the bills from coming in the mail or the financial responsibilities from piling up. This diagnosis means that Alb will need help and support from her community now more than ever.

Over the years Albertine has been very generous with her time, her heart and her hard work to support the community. Albertine’s care for others and her commitment to her community is demonstrated by her many years of volunteer service to the community and surrounding area. She has fundraised for many organizations around the region and is often one of the first to offer to help. She has worked bingo so children can get ice time to play hockey. She has worked to raise money for class field trips so that your children could have a new learning experience. She probably even supervised your child on those trips!

Albertine is a proud, private woman who is not accustomed to asking for help. So, we will ask on behalf of Alb, that you share some of your generosity and kindness. I have put down $7500 as a goal, I’m not really sure what I should put. I’m hoping we meet that goal and surpass it!
