Albert Franks Memorial Bench

On Sunday morning, Washington Cricket Club was saddened to learn of the passing of Albert Franks.

Albert was a legend at Washington CC and across the North East having represented Newcastle United as a footballer, Boldon as a cricketer and having served as Washington Cricket Club's President. Albert captained Durham County youth football side and also served 22 years in Durham Constabulary CID.

Washington Cricket Club would like to honour Albert's legacy by raising enough money to donate an 'Albert Franks Memorial Bench' which will sit beside a bench that Albert presented to the Club in memory of his wife Heather Franks (1[phone redacted]).

Washington CC have also renamed the lounge area, 'The Albert Franks Lounge'.

Any donation will be greatly appreciated by all at Washington Cricket Club.
