My name is Jason Griffin. I am the head coach for the Albany Girls Wrestling Team. We wrestle for Albany High School as well as club wrestling through the national level!

In 2014 our team won the state tournament and solidified ourselves as the best girls wrestling team in the state of California for 2014! In 2015 we finished 4th in the state! We are working hard to bring our athletes back to that level, and our quest to wrestle at Nationals is just a small part of that. Thanks to those who donated last year (2016) we sent 3 girls to nationals! 1 finished with All-American credentials (top 8 in the nation)! All got to participate with the California national team which finished 1st in the nation as a team! 1 of our girls went was offered a coaching job, and is set up to start next season!

It can be very expensive for us to travel such distances. Between flights, hotels, tournament entry fees, equipment, and any other expenses. When wrestling outside of the school, we do not receive any school funding, so it is all about fundraising.

We are looking to raise money, and use these funds to help support our young ladies who are chasing their goals, and dreams of becoming an elete athlete = All-American, national champion, or even better a part of the world team, or even the olympics!!!!
