Alayna's Pom Performance at DISNEY
Donation protected
My name is Alayna Moricz and I am a sophomore on the Varsity Pom Team at Pinckney High School.
The Varsity Pom Team from Pinckney will perform at Walt Disney World in February 2017 as a result of our performance at the annual Badgerette Midwest Grand Championships held in Illinois in August.
Our team competed against the top 19 varsity teams in the Midwest and won second place overall, second place for both their competitive and lyrical dances, fourth place for senior kickline and fifth for short program.
The entire varsity team was honored with the Betsy Carr Award for Sportsmanship, an award presented to only one team each year at the Midwest competition. Parents and athletes demonstrated great leadership, positive attitudes and strong spirit throughout the competition.
The varsity team took first place overall as well as in the open routine, hip hop, short program and senior kick.
We are fundraising as a team for us all to travel to perform. We do have costs that we need to cover on our own.
I am hoping through team fundraisers, family and donations from supporters I can make this trip possible.
While in Disney I will participate in a featured performance show at the Theater of the Stars, at Hollywood Studios as well as perform in a Disney parade. Our team will also take a private dance class offered through Disney.
We are responsible for travel and lodging as well as our Talent Tour fees which include meal coupons, bus transportation, rehearsals, choreography and more.
To raise funds our team has sold sponsorship for a banner, (many thanks to La Vita Bistro, Salon Ivey and Go Taco for purchasing ads from me) held a cake auction and are planning to do more.
I am babysitting to help raise funds to cover my individual costs.
Anything you can give would go a long way towards me meeting my goal of $2,500.
