On Saturday August 9th, Alaura and Keven welcomed their first child, A healthy baby boy, Kaelogne Amais Salazar at 35 weeks.

What should have been the most joyous time of their lives very quickly turned into a medical nightmare. Alaura started to lose feeling of her legs shortly after giving birth and is now unable to walk. Medical professionals are saying it’s unknown if or when she will be able to walk again and will require home care, physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Alaura's due date was originally in September and as a self employed hair stylist, she counted on staying booked and busy until she gave birth. Unfortunately, life had other plans and Alaura now has the burden of medical bills and extra care for the unforeseeable future.

As Alaura and Keven navigate through this overwhelming and uncertain time - adjusting to this new life as parents while facing the challenges of recovery - We want to stand behind them with love and support. Many of you asked how you can help, and this GoFundMe can do just that.
