Hello my name is MaKinlee and we are from Palmer, Alaska just north of Anchorage. On November 30th Alaska was hit with a very strong earthquake. Luckily our child was outside waiting for school bus and I was at home alone as my husband was assisting students and staff at school. We are so glad to hear that entire state suffered 0 fatalities in this event. Home swayed and jumped resulting in belongings and structure damage House Damage: as of December 03 2018 -Home still without heat upstairs and downstairs (Heat only in garage) -Leaking Boiler Line in garage - Temporary fixed -Cracks and Stress Fractures in all rooms except Kitchen & 1 Bathroom We need to hire house inspector & maybe civil engineer to check it out. -Garage Door system is damaged. -Front door cracked Belongings Damage: Diabetic supplies (very important),Televisions, Gaming computer, Monitors, Cabinets, Lamps, ect. We still have not finished cleaning up all the mess along with thoroughly inspecting for other physical and structural damage. My husband is working through weekends and week helping inspecting schools for devices damaged and get them up and running for safe return of staff and students. We would like to try and raise money to cover the damage, inspections, hiring contractors and specialists for fixes. Included few photos of many. Any amount is appreciated.
