Alas de Agua Southside Building and Programming

Alas de Agua Art Collective is a grassroots educational art space dedicated to supporting BIPOC artists on the Southside of Oga Pogeh, Santa Fe, New Mexico. These efforts are for Rent, Utilities and Art Programming.

10k will go towards keeping the building open. We are fortunate enough to be in a warehouse space in the Southside of town so we are able to keep the cost of rent low for now.

10k will go towards the Second Annual Summer  Barrio Art School Programming. Our initial year was led and designed by all people of color. Having an summer arts program for youth that is led and designed by all people of color matters. 2022 was the first year we had 5 weeks of Barrio Art School with a a different artists leading each week.

10k will go to further our Mural Arts Programming. We continue to be grateful for the opportunity to be able to lead Mural Arts Workshops that are free to the community at large and that are providing valuable skills sets to future muralists.

The rest of the funds will go towards general art workshops in the space. We have continued to provide programming for our community on the southside with a team of P.O.C artists that are predominantly from the same neighborhood. We are grateful for all the people power and continued efforts of our community to keep us afloat despite all the ups and downs of COVD 19. Throughout the year we have provided alot of different programming that we will be sharing with the community throughout the duration of this fundraiser. Because we are grassroots, every dollar goes directly to community artists and community resources. Please reshare and consider donating

Alas De Agua Art Collective is an intersectional grass roots space providing resources and opportunities for artists of color, native artists, immigrant, undocumented, and queer artists who have historically and currently been marginalized and not afforded the same resources. We remove barriers and go around them. We believe in abundance where there seems to be scarcity. We believe in compassionate conflict. We help support artistic visions that are counter narratives to dominant culture and believe diversity is key in creating community.

For more information about the Alas de Agua Art Collective, follow on Facebook and Instagram. Visit the website at Reshare this fundraiser so we can continue to create art opportunities for artists of color on the Southside.
