Hello dear lovers of our planet, animals, climate and forest!
I'm Danny, and I have been living in the Peruvian rainforest for 10 years. I am starting this fundraiser in order to save and protect 10 hectares of land in the amazon! I have made this video to explain our situation. You can also continue reading below for even more information and ways to contact me.
Over the last ten years through hard work and teamwork with the local community I have managed to create a conservation area of 55 hectares to keep it from illegal deforestation. My friend Cesar and I started a project to rehabilitate wildlife in the area, but to protect the wildlife we must also protect their home. I began working with the Manu National Park and the scientists and researchers there to protect the old growth forest that borders that area; it also borders the indigenous communities of this land. But that's exactly what's in danger now, and we are running out of time.
The longest border of our area is a small river, like something out of a fairy tale, where jaguars, tapirs, otters, countless species of birds and fish live. The other side of the river was also untouched until now. A small road was recently built there, which in itself isn't too bad, but there are now plans to cut down 10 hectares (or 24 acres) of trees, burn them and use chemicals on the land for agriculture. The destruction of those 10 hectares puts the river and our conservation area in danger. You can imagine how our hearts sank at the thought that this essential lifeline of the protected area would be completely ruined and poisoned, uninhabitable for our jungle creatures and our rehabilitated animals from the rescue station... This isn't just any rainforest either, it is OLD GROWTH Rainforest.
Why is it so important to preserve old growth forests? Trees grow back, yes, but trees are not a forest. Once a forest is industrially disturbed, it is fundamentally changed. Water and nutrient cycles are altered, the ability of the soil to store carbon will be reduced, and there are changes to tree species and wildlife. Mature and old-growth forests provide wildlife habitat and biodiversity, are sources of clean water and air, and mitigate the effects of climate change by pulling massive amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and storing it both above and below ground.
The current owner gave us one month to collect the money so that we could buy the 10 hectares along the entire river.
Anyone who donates can contact me, ask me anything and receive my direct gratitude!

I think everyone knows how important it is to preserve our rainforests, and you can take a closer look at and understand everything about our very diverse work on socio-economic and ecological issues in our region on my social media or in the informational PDFs that I am happy to send to anyone who would like to learn more.
I would be particularly pleased if you feast your eyes on the pictures of our integrated wildlife rescue station.
You can also visit us and the animals directly! As a guest or volunteer and take a closer look at what you have helped to save here
Write to me!
Thank you very much,
Your excited Danny.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who donates and shares our campaign.
Together we will definitely manage to keep the rainforest healthy and alive.
From Mar: Daniel is a dear friend of mine with an incredible project! I visited him in his jungle home and trekked through this very rainforest. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in. I got to work at his rescue station and met so many of the wonderful animals they are rehabilitating. His project needs help, so I am creating this gofundme on his behalf because Peru is not one of the countries supported by this platform. Please read Daniel’s story and donate and share his campaign. Thank you!
