Alara's Batten Battle
Donation protected
Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help in supporting a brave little girl, Alara.
In 2024, at just four years old, Alara was diagnosed with Batten Disease—an extremely rare and devastating condition with no known cure. Now five years old, she continues to fight every day with incredible courage and a bright smile.
Batten Disease is a progressive neurological disorder that robs children of their abilities over time. It affects vision, movement, speech, and eventually all basic functions. Despite this heartbreaking diagnosis, Alara’s spirit remains strong, and we, her family are determined to give her the best possible quality of life.
We are raising funds to help cover the overwhelming costs of Alara’s ongoing medical treatments, specialized equipment, and therapies aimed at slowing the progression of the disease and improving her comfort.
Haylei (Alara's incredibly strong Mum) also faces significant travel expenses for hospital visits and specialist care. As Alara transitions to full-time wheelchair use, a wheelchair-accessible vehicle is essential to ensure she can travel safely and continue to experience the world around her.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a difference. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing Alara’s story to help us reach more people who may be able to support her journey.
Alara’s future is uncertain, but with your kindness and generosity, we can ensure she receives the care, comfort, and mobility she deserves. Let’s come together to give this precious little girl the best possible life.
Thank you for your support.
