My name is Alan Ferreira. I live in Dinuba, CA, and I’m a student at Roosevelt Elementary School. On February 10th I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a tumor removed from my brain. Each morning during the week my mom drives me to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera so I can get radiation treatment. Every two weeks, I get chemotherapy treatment.
I am a fifth grader. I like the Raiders. My favorite players are Derrick Carr and Aldon Smith. I enjoy the WWE, and I like John Cena. I enjoy playing playing Halo and NFL on Xbox. My two brothers attend Dinuba High School (Victor and Eric), and my sister (Michelle) goes to Washington Intermediate School. My dad works in the fields, and my mom sells Amway products.
They work very hard and take care of me. I love my family very much. I enjoy playing with my friend, Ethan. I miss going to school. My teacher works with me at my family’s apartment a few hours a week.

We wanted to set up a gofundme site so we can help with the costs of taking Alan back and forth to the hospital. It’s a very long drive, It takes a lot of time and gas to go back and forth! We hope to get enough funds to cover some of these expenses.
Our family has a strong faith. We attend Saint Catherine’s Church in Dinuba. We have a strong faith in God, and we know, with trust in the Lord, we can overcome this challenge. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
