Help Alan Fight Stage 4 Metastatic Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Donation protected
Some moments change everything. A lump. A scan. A diagnosis you never see coming.
Alan has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic squamous cell carcinoma — an aggressive cancer affecting his tonsil, lymph nodes, and soft palate. The good news is that it's localised. The urgent news is that treatment needs to start now.
He faces seven intense weeks of daily radiation and weekly chemotherapy in Brisbane, followed by scans and possibly surgery. It’s a massive battle — one that will take every ounce of strength, courage, and support they have.
If you know Nene and Alan, you know this: they are givers. Quiet helpers. The kind of people who carry others through tough times without ever expecting anything in return. As Nene said:
“Helping others isn’t just something we do — it’s entwined deep within us. We need to support people. It’s who we are.”
Now it’s time we support them.
While Alan’s incredible team at Cap Auto in North Rockhampton has wrapped around him with love and support, the reality is Nene will have to stop working to be by his side during treatment - cutting their income in half during the most difficult chapter of their lives.
This fundraiser will help cover:
• Accommodation near the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital
• Travel to and from Brisbane
• Groceries, fuel, and living costs
• Medical appointments and recovery care
• Everyday bills that don’t stop, even when life does
This isn’t just about money. It’s about giving them breathing room. It’s about easing the weight so they can focus on what really matters - getting Alan through treatment and back home, cancer-free.
So we're calling on the troops — a community of friends, family, and kind strangers ready to lift the weight with them. Every single donation will help ease the financial strain and allow them to focus entirely on what matters most: getting Alan through treatment and back home, cancer-free.
If you can give, thank you. If you can share, thank you. If you’re simply sending love - thank you.
Let’s lift them. Let’s surround them. Let’s walk with them through this.
Alan’s Army shows up.
Alan’s Army fights hard.
And Alan’s Army doesn’t quit.
THIS is Alan’s Army -
Because No Body Fights Alone
