There are no words that can truly capture the pain of losing a child. But with the heaviest heart, I share that my sister’s beautiful baby girl, Alana, passed away unexpectedly on July 2, 2025, due to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). She was just 3 weeks old.
Alana was born on June 9, 2025—tiny, perfect, and full of promise. In her short time with us, she brought a light so pure, so innocent, and so powerful that it changed our lives forever. Her soft cries, the way she curled into her mother’s chest, her peaceful little face, these are now sacred memories we hold onto with all we have.
My sister is the definition of a loving mother. She has two other children who she loves fiercely, and Alana was the newest blessing in her beautiful little family. She gave Alana everything—her heart, her strength, her soul—and now she is left holding the weight of a loss no mother should ever bear.
It’s impossible to explain what it feels like to prepare to watch your child grow up, only to plan their funeral instead.
We are asking for support—any amount, any prayer, any share—to help cover the unexpected funeral and memorial costs. This isn’t something any of us could have ever prepared for, and the emotional and financial toll is overwhelming.
Please, if you feel moved to do so, donate or share this with someone who might. Your support will help give Alana the peaceful farewell she deserves and give my sister the time and space to grieve, to heal, and to care for the children who still need her every day.
Alana may have only been with us for 3 weeks, but her presence was nothing short of a miracle. She changed us. She will never be forgotten.
She is now wrapped in God’s arms—our sweet, tiny angel.
