My beautiful 3-1/2 month old niece has lost her battle of life!  Brendon Terlep and Stephanie Gonzalez were blessed with their baby girl on December 19, 2015.  Alana Kalani was born with a rare birth defect called esophageal atresia..  She was sent to Valley Children's Hospital with high hopes of multiple surgeries that would provide her with a beautiful life!  She has remained at the hospital since birth and was the happiest, active baby in the NICU!   During that time while waiting for procedures, Alana was never in pain or discomfort and blessed us with the most beautiful, brightest, tear jerking smiles and joy a family could ask for!   Before we knew it, March 25 was here and it was time to start a surgery called"The Foker Procedure" to reconnect her esophagus.  Following Alana's surgery, that evening, unfortunately everything took a turn for the worse and Alana was later diagnosed with Cerebral Palsey. After learning the severity of this brain injury to Brendon and Stephanie's baby girl, they learned that she wouldn't be able to live long without a ventilator to breathe for her.

The Hospital provided Ronald McDonald House lodging for Mommy and Daddy so they gave up their home to be by Alana's side. Mommy was with Alana all day every day while Daddy went to work during the day and spent the rest of his time by her side!   No parent should ever have to go through what Brendon and Stephanie have had to go through in their young lives!  Soon they will have to leave the only home they have known as a family of 3 and build their lives all  over again!  We are asking you to donate from your heart any amount you possibly can. No amount is too small when we pull all our resources together!  We will use the funds received to put our precious baby girl to rest. Your donation will not bring their daughter back, but it will give them the peace they need to mourn their child and help them to move on in time.  We are so thankful to each and every person that has reached out to the families and now we ask for financial help to put to rest the financial obligations.  I personally will write all thank you notes and in advance thank you from the bottom of all of our broken hearts!!!
