Alana Grace's Galloping Foundation
Donation protected
Alana Grace’s Galloping Foundation is named for our daughter, Alana Grace Williams. This foundation was born from her love of horses and her time spent at horse camp. Our mission is to give children the opportunity to attend a horse camp even if their family is experiencing financial hardship.
Our beloved Alana’s life was taken at the young age of 17 when a 51-year old man ran a red light in Ranson, WV. On that April 10th, 2022 morning, the world lost a bright soul and we lost our cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend. Alana’s infectious laugh instantly melted hearts and she became friends with nearly everyone she met. Alana loved to make others laugh. She was a kind spirit and always eager to lend a helping hand.
From a very young age Alana was passionate about horses and began riding lessons at the age of six. Each summer she spent one week at horse camp. This annual camp helped boost her confidence, self-esteem, and taught her responsibility. At camp she was taught how to both ride and property care for her horse. These lessons helped Alana grow her ability to feel empathy, understand the unbreakable bond between horse/rider, and develop a strong love of the animal.
I’m Jennifer Bartok, Alana’s mother, and I live in Florida. Six weeks after her passing I started working on a horse farm; it was therapeutic and kept her close. Beyond that, I saw first hand the positive effects horse camp has on children who attend.
My husband and I will be sponsoring a child at Iron Horse Stables in Cantonment, FL. Alana's father, Michael Williams, will be sponsoring a child at one of the horse camps in West Virginia. With your donations we can help more children attend horse camp and experience the same benefits Alana did. The amount of donations received will determine the amount of children we are able to sponsor to go to horse camp.
Through Alana Grace’s Galloping Foundation we plan to split donations between three separate horse farms. One is in Florida and two are in Jefferson County, West Virginia where Alana’s father lives.
Your donation will be in Alana’s memory and will allow more children to experience/enjoy horse camp as Alana did.
If you would like your child to be sponsored by Alana Grace’s Galloping Foundation please fill out the submission form at the bottom of her foundation page, Alana Grace's Galloping Foundation , with your child’s name, age, the camp preference (options described on page), and how they might specifically benefit from a camp experience.
You MUST have your own transportation provided for your child to attend camp.
On April 10th, 2024 (the 2 year anniversary of Alana’s passing) we will be choosing recipients through a random generator live on FaceBook/TikTok.
