Well IT happened... unbelievably, a HEART ATTACK. And for a brief time, I honestly thought I was DONE. I was getting ready to teach skiing for the day and taking a warm-up run and I felt sensations I'd never felt before. For a brief time, I was not sure if I had taken my last ski run ever.

Long story short... I'm going to recover - but - I spent 2 nights in a hospital in Idaho and had a catheter stent procedure done to insert two stents in one of my heart's arteries, two ambulance rides including one over a mountain pass for 2 hours to a regional cardiac center and the list goes on. You can only imagine what the bills are going to be - and thanks to the state of health insurance today, I have a $10,500. deductible.

So... I'm reaching out and saying HELP! I shared my story on my website (rvacrossamerica.net) in my most recent post and hope it helps to educate others as I almost "blew it off" (when I felt like **** on Tuesday Feb 12 when it happened), and was going to stay at work (I'm a ski instructor)... had I done that, the ER nurse in Jackson said, I very well could have faced "sudden cardiac death", she even called me a "ticking timebomb" as they rushed to get me to a cardiac specialty center in Idaho.  Any help towards meeting these unexpected bills would be a God-send.
