Alan Phillips and family

Alan Phillips is someone in this area many of you already know or have at least heard of before. He has been building and working on houses throughout the Mtn Home region for over 30 years now. He, and his spouse Amanda, have raised 8 kids and are expecting their 2nd grandbaby soon. He has been a friendly face with a helpful hand to anyone and everyone in the community during those years and now we are asking for some support for him and his family during their time of need.

Back in Oct of 2022, due to an illness that required multiple appts, tests, and time off, Amanda had to step back from her position as an Ambulance Dispatcher @BRMC. Unfortunately, as Alan was working overtime to help make up for the lost wages, about a week before Christmas he had a brain stem stroke. He was admitted to the hospital, and suffered right sided deficits, as well as time off work, too. During his recovery, the Dr's have now discovered he is in desperate need of open heart surgery, a quadruple bypass for at least 8 blockages as well as bypass of his LAD. All of these blockages are a very high percentile and the LAD, aka widowmaker, is an unbelievable 99%.

The surgery will be performed in LR at AR Heart and will put Alan out of commission for quite some time. As the business owner, he doesn't have any paid medical leave so he will not have an income. His sons, who work for the family business, will also be without income while their father heals. In other words, this will be an enormous financial blow to the entire family, and is the last thing they need when trying to heal. Amanda has decided to postpone her treatment in order to care for Alan during his recovery.

This man and family have helped or touched so many lives in this community so I am asking for donations while they focus on what's important right now. Let us all step up and help this special family out guys! I am asking for anything. Please, nothing is too small. Prayers and positive vibes are welcomed and much needed as well.
