The Alan Mooney Memorial Soccer Blitz is back! This year it will take place in The Watershed in Kilkenny on 12th July 2025.

The Alan Mooney Memorial Soccer Blitz is a 7 aside soccer blitz with the Alan Mooney Memorial Trophy and the Alan Mooney Memorial Shield up for grabs.

All monies raised this year will go to Kilkenny Cancer Support Centre: Cois Nore is an organisation serving the Kilkenny area which provides free confidential support and both professional and voluntary services to people of all ages affected by cancer and their families to enable them to live well with their diagnosis.

Alan Mooney memorial soccer tournament is in memory of our husband, dad, son, brother, and friend. Alan died after a brave battle with cancer in November 2013. Alan’s wide circle of friends and family decided to hold to an annual soccer blitz in honour of Alan to raise money for local charities.
