In the early morning of Friday, February 3rd, my family lost their dried goods store and everything in it from a devastating fire. Due to dangerous conditions and instable infrastructure, firefighters were unable to properly fight the fire and were forced to allow it to ravage through the entire store, resulting in a complete loss in inventory. The fire was finally contained after burning for nearly 7 hours. By then, not only had it burned through our store, but it also affected residents and businesses around us.

While insurance will be helping, it will not cover everything we've lost, and will likely take a while to come together. In the meantime,  my sister and I will continue to work while being full-time students; however, my mom and dad will need funds to deal with unforgiving business obligations and get their lives back on track. More importantly, they will need to obtain money to pay for ongoing treatment for my father’s illness. At this point I can only ask for the help of my community in hopes of being able to provide aid and relief for my family. Our family will be greatly
appreciative of any donations that will help us cope with this event.
