Hi,

My name is Jeanette, and I am Alan’s step-daughter. I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of myself, Ian and Karen — Alan’s son and daughter.

Alan is currently in Intensive Care after being diagnosed with a very rare cancerous brain tumour. Six months ago, he underwent surgery to successfully remove the tumour and completed a full course of chemotherapy. We were given the incredible news that the cancer was no longer present.

With that “green light,” Alan returned to China with his wife, Maria, to continue working with his beloved guitars — something that has always been such a huge part of his life.

Sadly, the tumour has now returned and has grown rapidly. Alan is once again fighting for his life.

As you can imagine, the cost of urgent treatment in China is extremely high. As a family, we are doing everything we can to ensure Alan has the very best chance of recovery. We are raising funds to help cover the medical expenses and give him the strongest possible opportunity to keep fighting.
