The world lost a brother, friend, mentor, and SEO industry leader on August 22nd with the passing of Alan Bleiweiss.
Alan lived a transparent life, wearing his emotions on his sleeve, sharing his thoughts and adventures freely. He was generous to an extent most people aren't - he would give his last dime or the shirt off his back to anyone, living with transparent gratitude for the life he had.
He took nothing for granted, sought endlessly to be the best version of himself he could, and was a source of comfort for those who needed wisdom and a kind ear. He would frequently post public thank yous and gratitude to friends, never wasting a day to make sure others knew they were valued.
The world lost a light who lived with intent, love, and an openness we admired.
Alan proudly lived very nomadically and simply, and I know he wouldn't want a big fuss - we want to honor that, but make sure his immediate family can honor him and focus on their grief, without the added burden of financial worry.
All donations will go towards Alan's end-of-life arrangements. Anything above and beyond that will be donated to the Make a Wish foundation, in accordance with his wishes. Anyone who followed Alan knows one of his favorite ways to donate was buying classroom wish lists for kids and teachers. It's therefore not surprising his final gift would be to make dreams come true for kids who might not live as long as he marveled he was able to, almost daily.
Thank you for the gift of you, Alan.
