Hi, I’m Alena, Alan’s cousin. I am setting up this page on behalf of our family to raise as much as we can for our beautiful Alan (Aldo) and his wonderful children, Beau (14) and Grace (12).

This past year has been incredibly difficult for Alan. After being diagnosed with cancer, he has undergone multiple operations and treatments with immense strength and courage.

Sadly, Alan’s condition has now progressed, and he is currently being made comfortable at St Julia’s Hospice. He has shared his final wishes with me, and as a family, we want nothing more than to honour them and give him the send-off he truly deserves.

This news will be deeply upsetting for everyone who knows and loves Alan.

Alan Black – a proud Scottish man who made his home in Cornwall – an incredible person: a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and a true friend to so many. He is widely respected and loved, known for his kindness, generosity, and his brilliant sense of humour. He would help anyone at any time and was always up for a laugh.

As many know, funeral costs can exceed £5,000. We are hoping to raise as much as possible to support Alan’s final wishes. Any funds raised beyond funeral costs will go directly to his children, Beau and Grace.

Alan will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He truly was one of the finest people you could ever meet.
