UPDATE 09/13/2024

After the last screening the docs discovered the spot was a bit larger than previously scans. This, along with other testing, eliminates the possibility of surgery. The doctor is requesting a few other tests to see if there may be a back up option. Medical cost keeps accruing. 

 The apartment complex has notified them they will not be renewing the lease. This means finding somewhere else to move, paying deposits, and other expenses that come with moving.  

He is still physically unable to work and there has been no update from disability. I know times are tough for everyone. But anything to help get over the latest hurdle would be greatly appreciated.   Please Continue sending prayers!

Dearest friends and family, our father Alan Barnes Sr was diagnosed in June 2023 with stage 3 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Squamous cell lung tumors often occur in the central part of the lung or the main airway. His is on his right lower lobe. Dad went to the ER thinking he was having a mini stroke but ended up finding the cancer on his lung. They admitted him to hospital, did a biopsy, and found the cancer then.

Pawpaw frogbutt had his first round of chemo 3 weeks ago and will have his second one tomorrow. The chemo has taken a toll on him, makes him sick, and has missed a lot of work. He has also started losing his hair.

PawPaw “Froggbutt” (as his grandkids call him) is going to require financial help during this time. 

Unfortunately, our dad lost his job Tuesday after his chemo treatment. He had this job 12 years.

We have been working with the application process for assistance benefits.

Pawpaw Frogbutt is a fighter and we're going to get through this. But he's going to need a little help along the way.
