Friends and family, we need your help. Alakai is our sweet, loving little man and he has had a rough past few months. He’s had two tumors  surgically removed: one in October of 2019 and one last week.  Both tumors were biopsied and the results came back positive for malignant skin cancer. The recent tumor grew very fast and came back with more serious results than the first. The good news is that there is a vaccination for this type of skin cancer that can prevent more of these tumors from growing and extend our little Alakai’s life. There are multiple stages for this treatment and it’s expensive. (Each injection is $600 and he needs 4 in the first two months of treatment. He will then receive one shot every 6 months for as long as it seems to be effective.) We are hoping to raise some money with this gofundme to help alleviate some of the financial strain that has accumulated with the surgeries and the vaccination treatment. We’ve already begun the treatment so that we can try to prevent any further tumors from developing.
