Some of you may not know, but in May 2019 my little sister who is 19 years old was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. What was supposed to be a partial thyroidectomy turned into a full removal of her thyroid because when the doctors went in they found the cancer. Because of this, she will have to be on hormone medication for her entire life. After that my sister noticed some suspicious lumps on her lymph nodes and it turns out those are cancerous as well. She just finished the removal of those lymph nodes and is still on the road to recovery. Alaina is in good spirits and is taking it very well. If you know Alaina, you know she isn’t letting the “C” word affect her everyday life. We are fortunate for health insurance, but as some of you may know that doesn’t cover everything. In efforts to help my family out with the expenses I would like to create this go fund me. This process is already stressful enough and I would like to take some stress off on the financial aspect.
