Alaina’s Heart Surgery Journey

A dear friend has been dealt a very difficult and stressful hand recently with new information that his beautiful 4-year-old daughter Alaina will soon have to undergo open heart surgery. This information is devastating to receive as any parent would imagine. Alaina is very full of life and as you can tell from her room capturing smile, she is ready to take on this surgery with bravery and strength. Her parents are very strong and courageous, ready to handle the stress of this journey, however with two other young kids, they both acknowledge this will be a difficult year. They will be travelling to a city far from home where some of the best pediatric surgeons in the world practice for Alaina's surgery. This will put an added layer of stress due to medical bills, travel, room and board and overall living expenses while their life will be focused on their little girl. Any contribution will go to Alaina's surgery and speedy recovery.
