Please help support Team USA athlete Alaina Wiehagen on her journey to the Junior Pan American Karate Championship in Asunción, Paraguay!

Alaina, an athlete from the Pennsylvania Shotokan Karate Club in Level Green, earned her spot on the Junior USA National Karate Team by winning GOLD at the USA National Karate Championship and Team Trials held in Fort Worth, Texas from July 10–13. This event is the only National Karate Championship recognized by the USA Olympic & Paralympic Committee.

This was Alaina’s very first year of eligibility, and at just 11 years old, she proudly secured a place on the United States Junior National Team! She is entering 6th grade at McCullough Elementary in the Penn-Trafford School District.

The Junior Pan American Karate Championships are held annually throughout the Pan American region. Team USA has won the overall championship title the last two years—2023 in Santiago, Chile, and 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil. Alaina’s participation will help Team USA fight for a three-peat victory!

As a minor, Alaina must meet specific travel requirements that increase the cost of attending the event. Any support to help cover these expenses is deeply appreciated. Let’s help this young athlete represent her country with pride!
