My name is Amanda and I have known Annalese for the last 6 years. I have watched her grow and become the beautiful mama she is. Her baby Alaia is just 16 months old. She hadn't been feeling good for the last few days, but everyone assumed it was the stomach bug going around. When she wasn't getting any better they decided to take her to the emergency room, where it was one thing after another and they couldn't even comprehend what the Doctors were telling them. When you take your baby to the doctor only thinking she has a stomach bug she's just not getting over and then you get the worst news no parent ever wants to hear. After many tests and procedures, Alaia was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The leukemia has spread to her spinal cord and brain. She will be in treatment and at the hospital in Sacramento for the better part of 5 months. We are asking for help to help with any medical expenses and travel expenses for Annalese and Alaia's father Alex while having to be at the hospital over the next 5 months. They are both wanting to be with Alaia during this horrendous time in their lives and are struggling with being off work as well. Instead of celebrating and having fun with their baby girl at Christmas, they are having to figure out how to navigate this horrible time of their lives. MOST OF ALL THEY ARE ASKING FOR PRAYERS.
