Alabama Rocketry Association Crowdfunding!

We are crowdfunding to specifically help finance rocket materials, logistics, and infrastructure for all our competition teams! Every dollar counts and will directly help the teams' efforts to reach the podium and break records! Roll Tide!

The Alabama Rocketry Association (ARA) is the University of Alabama's rocket team dedicated to providing world-class collegiate engineering experiences for students by competing in national and international rocketry competitions. 

For this school year, we have three amazing competition teams representing ARA and the University of Alabama: 

ARA’s SAC Team is officially registered to represent the University of Alabama at the 2022 Spaceport America Cup (the world's largest collegiate rocketry competition) 10,000 ft Solid Propellant Rocket Division at Spaceport, New Mexico. The team hopes to podium and bring back the University of Alabama’s first Spaceport America Cup Trophy!

ARA’s NASA SL Team is officially qualified and registered to represent the University of Alabama along with 59 other universities from across the US at the prestigious 2022 NASA Student Launch competition at Huntsville, Alabama. The team hopes to bring back the University of Alabama’s first NASA Student Launch Award!

ARA’s FAR DPF Team aims to break the 23,000 ft collegiate liquid propellant rocket altitude record and become the 8th university team in history - 1st among the SEC universities - to successfully achieve liquid propellant rocket flight. The FAR DPF or "Dollar-Per-Foot" Challenge awards a dollar for every foot off the launch rail to the student team that successfully launches their liquid-propellant rocket.
