Al is facing the most difficult chapter of his life. Diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer a year ago, he has been making the best of his remaining time. With only a few weeks left, and now on 24-hour at-home care, the cost is overwhelming and not covered by insurance. Al's only relative, his brother, lives in Italy and has been traveling back and forth to be by his side, which has added to the financial strain.

Al is the kind of friend who brings joy and warmth wherever he goes. He’s been a VIP tour guide at Universal Studios Hollywood, baked bagels for Hank’s, worked at Hustler Casino, and shared his charm at The Art of Shaving. Many even consider him the honorary mayor of Toluca Lake. He's often seen riding his bike down Riverside to visit his favorite haunts. Al is a two-time world champion and three time US Champion in the musketeer division of the Beard & Mustache competition. He has always lived life to the fullest, making friends wherever he goes.
